The village lies in the Miscano Valley, in the
Fortore area, the inside part in the province of Benevento.
Agriculture is the most important field of economy with a presence
on the territory of small building and clothing trade, in spite of
the increasing of economic difficulties for competitive firms of
foreign countries.
Agricultural firms show a profit particularly about
livestock and tobacco growing even if nowadays we can notice aged
workers, moderated partly by the laws that stimulate young people,
today, in agricultural field.
Our Istituto Comprensivo “S.F. De Dominicis” is an
important point of reference for Ginestra degli Schiavoni too, a
small village near Buonalbergo, that lives the same econimic
problems of our area.
In despite of that Buonalbergo has more advantages in
comparison with the remaining territory. In fact we can remember an
important arterial road (S.S. 90 BIS) and the railway that joins
Naples to Foggia but also the proximity to Benevento.
